Latest update as of February 2022

As the corona virus quickly spreads and testing is very crucial, innovative solutions were developed such as drive through COVID-19 testing sites where the people stay in their car while the samples are being taken.

In response to this, Maui Department of Health and Kidney Foundation of Hawai’i launched free drive-through COVID-19 testing project at the War Memorial Stadium parking lot in Wailuku. It started last January 3 and still currently ongoing. The schedule is six days a week.

Testing will be conducted from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday; and 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and Thursday.

Appointments are required with pre-registration at AlohaClear.com. The ZIP code that they need to enter is “96793” for the War Memorial test site.

The tests offered at the War Memorial site are rapid PCR tests, with results available in less than 24 hours. PCR test are the most reliable tests than the home tests, or the rapid tests that are done in some clinics.
